New for 2018, the CSBC women's weekend retreat. The aim is for the weekend is to be spiritually refreshing, restful and a chance to get to know one another better.
The retreat will be happening at Waverley Abbey House, a charming Grade II listed Georgian mansion located near Farnham. With its historic character, extensive grounds and excellent facilities, this is a great location for us. It also means no long drives or getting stuck in traffic on Friday evening - more time for chatting and cake! For more info please visit: https://www.waverleyabbeyhouse.org.uk/.
Our speaker for the weekend will be Rebekah Brown. Rebekah works alongside her husband Ray who leads Grace Church Brockley, where she oversees the women's ministry as well as tutoring on the F2 Course at the Cornhill Training Course. Rebekah enjoys the outdoors, mountains and sea, sunshine and warmth. That said, the highlight of my every week is the opportunity to open-up God's word to women. She'll be peaking on Ecclesiastes, which is one of her favourite books. Face-to-face, honest, 'what is the point of life?' questions. No pretending, no taboos, the author head-first deconstructs the stuff of life: time, work, status, pleasure, death - and speaks wisdom into this.
The cost of the weekend is £165. This includes accommodation (all rooms are shared and en-suite), being fully catered for, time with friends, a weekend off house jobs and children, snoring husbands, and the general plate spinning we all do. Food consists of continental breakfast, two-course lunch and three-course evening meal (and no washing up!).
We require a £50 deposit in advance. Please sign up as soon as possible, spaces are limited to 40 so don't wait and miss out. Please complete the form below and an email response will be sent to you. This is not an automated email so please be patient. Payment can be made by cheque, payable to Chertsey Street Baptist Church, cash or bank transfer (account details will be emailed to you).
